I know it's only hair. But, darnit, I just love mine so much better when it's blonde. I did the dark(er) thing. And I liked it okay. My love for it, however, faded fast, taking with it the lowlites (which, if you weren't aware, fade really quick) and my self-esteem.
So, while I'm getting ready in the morning for school, already lamenting over the fact how I have nothing to wear, the morning is further complicated by the fact that I spend a ridiculous amount of time trying to convince myself that I'm better off brunette-ish.
Maybe if I wear it this way, it will look better...
Maybe if I just trimmed my bangs, it will look better...
Maybe if I lose 5 lbs, it will look better...
And then, this morning, in a weak moment I called, booked the appointment with Savannah, and told them to pencil me in for a blonde highlight. Eight hours later, I'm taking awkward self-photos to prove that blonde is oh so much better. At least on me :)
{TGIalmostF! And a pay day! Wahoo!}

I love being blonde the best!!! You look so purty!
blonde is way more fun! looks good!
Sigh. Seeing your blonde hair is making me second guess myself. I have spent the past few days trying to convince myself to go from blonde to brunette. I thought it might be a good change, but now I'm thinking that I should just play it safe and go get my usual blonde highlights. Oh hair drama. Your hair looks beautimous!
I love it! I feel so much better with fresh, blonde hair :)
it's a beautiful color!
I've been blonde all my life but the older I get the darker it gets! I decided to just go darker and now I wish I never had! Blonde is always SO much better. I just feel so much more confident! Yours looks great! But what did it look like before??
Love your blog!
Love the look! Beautiful! By the way I admire your blog! So glad I read it, I wish I could get you to guest blog for me!
I completely agree, I tried the darker thing and I just feel icky, give me some platinum highlights and I feel like a new woman! Love the hair, it looks divine!
i'm with ya. my (now faded) strawberry blonde just isn't cutting it...my appointment for some fresh new highlights is next week, and it can't come soon enough!
It looks great! Have a great Friday girl!
You need to loose five pounds... so you can look like a starving orphan... Never say that again!
Maybe I should try blonde:). Haha. Seriously, I like having carmel blondish highlights. Does that count:)? You look gorgeous either way!
Well I have had to cancel my hair appointment 2 times! ugh.
I may never see highlights. darnbusyschedules and said hairdresser being in Lexington.
Love the lighter look!!
(sidenote: Thought you might want to mention to your IA readers about giveaway. just a thought)
T-G-I-F!!!
Looks lovely! Happy Weekend!
Girl-I'm RIGHT there with you. While the cost to stay blonde pains me...it's SO worth how much better I feel. And for a full-time working Mama-YOU DESERVE to look and feel your best!! Way to treat yourself girl!! xoxo.

I am not even all the way blonde, and I totally agree! All over dark is just draining...and aging! I started off with high- and low- lights a few years ago, and learned quickly those darn low-lights only shine for a short while.
Your hair looks fantabulous, and it is a given...blondes do have more fun!
You'd look gorgeous with any color, but I agree that blonde is more you!
Hair color is something that I lost control of at 13 years old. I went against my mother and tried to go bleach blonde with a bottle of Sun-In leaving me with bright orange hair. Since then my hair has been every color under the sun, but I somehow always wind up back at blonde. I love it and you should too, your hair looks amazing!
